As of July 1 2016 the Sugarcane Biosecurity  Zone 1 was extended from Coen to Townsville. Drain Tech director Richard Gloyne is pleased with this change with Biosecurity as it formerly only extended south to Cardwell. “This meant that every time we crossed the Cardwell Range to service clients in the Herbert we had to go through the complete 2 day wash-down procedure even if we only had a small amount of work to do.”

Drain Tech takes its Biosecurity obligations  very seriously.” The last thing we want to do is spread  soil and plant  issues from Gympie to Mossman and we understand the fragility of these farming systems.”
